Create a Win-Win Event with Group Travel Fundraising

Travel for a cause: raise funds for your nonprofit organization while enjoying the magic of travel.

In keeping with a tradition of supporting nonprofits, Carol’s Travel Service has partnered with Carnival Cruise Lines to create a fundraising cruise program. When you book your group travel fundraising through Carol’s Travel Service, your supporters enjoy a group cruise to an exotic destination, and a portion of their fare goes to your organization. You raise much-needed funds while giving supporters all the fun and excitement of a cruise vacation.

When you consider booking a fundraising cruise program, your organization needs to make a few decisions:

  • Which cruise length is best? Carnival Cruise Lines offers vacations lasting 3 – 16 days.
  • Where would your supporters like to cruise? Some cruises may be more attractive to them than others.
  • What times of year would your supporters be free to cruise?

After you have made these decisions, Carol’s Travel Service will assist you in creating a program and theme, if desired, to promote the fundraising cruise program and will provide free promotional materials. Passengers will be offered cruise prices that include a fundraising contribution. This price is often below what they would pay if they booked the cruise themselves.

Contact Carol's Travel to learn more about Carnival’s destinations, dates, and the cruises that are likely to be the most profitable.

How the Fundraising Cruise Program Works

Carnival Cruise Lines will match your nonprofit’s portion of the cruise fare up to $5 per passenger, per day. If desired, the nonprofit may mark up its portion more than $5 per person. In addition, for every 16 paying passengers, Carol’s Travel Service and Carnival Cruise Lines will add one free passenger, boosting the funds the nonprofit receives.

You receive the contribution check(s) after the cruise, based on the number of cabins sold.

How Group Travel Fundraising Helps Your Organization

  • Your nonprofit raises thousands of dollars in funding with few man-hours.
  • Participants enjoy a cruise vacation and feel great about supporting a worthwhile cause.
  • Press releases and advertising of the cruise bring more public awareness to your organization.
  • Friends and family who take the cruise learn more about your group, and you have access to potential members or contributors.

Minimum Program Requirements

  • Your nonprofit organization must carry a tax-exempt status of 501c(3) or 501c(6).
  • A minimum of 8 cabins must be sold to qualify for matching funding.
  • Carnival Cruise Lines will match up to $5 maximum per passenger, per day for the cruise.
  • Your nonprofit organization should allow at least 6 to 9 months for creating and marketing the program.

Turn to Carol's Travel Service for assistance in creating a fundraising travel program so beneficial that your nonprofit organization will want to repeat it every year.
